Role Description
Sr InfrastructurePlatform Solutions Engineer
Position Summary
We are seeking an Azurefocused Infrastructure Solutions Engineer with broad expertise across cloud compute virtualization hyperconverged infrastructure HCI storage networking security and automation This role is responsible for designing implementing standardizing securing and supporting enterprise infrastructure platforms across Azure and hybrid environments
The ideal candidate is a handson infrastructure generalist with strong L3 engineering and troubleshooting experience who can lead modernization initiatives improve operational resilience automate infrastructure processes and drive platform reliability security and performance
Responsibilities
Design implement and support Azure hybrid cloud and enterprise infrastructure solutions
Provide technical leadership across compute virtualization HCI storage networking identity security and platform operations
Standardize and harden Windows and Linux server operating systems using enterprise security baselines and best practices
Lead vulnerability remediation patch management OS lifecycle management and compliance initiatives
Design and support highly available and resilient infrastructure solutions including load balancing WAF clustering etc
Configure and support networking technologies including DNS routing switching VPNs firewalls load balancers and hybrid connectivity
Develop automation using PowerShell Python BashShell scripting Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices
Perform L3 engineering support for complex infrastructure incidents root cause analysis and problem management
Analyze system application security and network logs to troubleshoot performance availability and operational issues
Partner with application operations security database and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable enterprise platforms
Drive performance optimization capacity planning operational excellence and continuous service improvement
Required Skills Experience
8 years of infrastructure engineering cloud engineering systems engineering or architecture experience
Strong Microsoft Azure experience including compute storage networking identity security governance monitoring and hybrid cloud services
Handson administration and support experience with Windows Server and UnixLinux platforms
Experience standardizing hardening patching and securing enterprise server environments
Experience with virtualization and HCI platforms including Nutanix VMware vSphere vCenter ESXi Azure Stack HCI or similar technologies
Strong understanding of enterprise storage platforms SANNAS technologies backup replication disaster recovery and business continuity
Solid networking knowledge including TCPIP DNS routing switching VPNs firewalls load balancers and WAF technologies
Experience implementing high availability and resilience solutions for infrastructure and businesscritical applications
Working knowledge of SQL Server databases database infrastructure performance troubleshooting backuprecovery and availability concepts
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform Bicep ARM Templates or similar technologies
Experience with Azure DevOps Git CICD pipelines automation and operational tooling
Proficiency in PowerShell Python Bash or Shell scripting for infrastructure automation
Strong L3 troubleshooting experience log analysis root cause analysis incident management and problem resolution
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work across infrastructure security cloud and application teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading cloud migrations datacenter transformations and infrastructure modernization programs
Experience with VMware NetApp storage F5AVI load balancing Palo Alto firewalls Infoblox and enterprise infrastructure platforms
Knowledge of resilience engineering multisite and multiregion disaster recovery architectures and enterprise governance practices
Exposure to AWS OCI GCP or multicloud environments is a plus
Experience implementing selfservice provisioning infrastructure automation and AIassisted operational workflows
