Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for Mechanical Design Engineers. In this position, team members will develop and refine mechanical concepts, perform detailed design calculations, and create 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD tools. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into robust mechanical solutions, selecting appropriate materials and components, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturability standards. Engineers will review and optimize existing designs, support prototype development, and document design changes in accordance with internal processes. The role also involves communicating design decisions clearly, participating in design reviews, and meeting project timelines while working independently in a virtual setting.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering, with a solid understanding of core mechanical principles.
Candidates should possess skills in Machine Design and Product Design, including experience designing mechanisms, assemblies, and manufacturable components.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, drafting, and revision control.
Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field are beneficial.
Experience with industry standards, materials selection, tolerance analysis, and basic structural or thermal calculations is advantageous.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with the ability to work remotely, manage time effectively, and collaborate across distributed teams.
