## About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and creative **Interior Designer with 5–6 years of professional experience**, specifically in **commercial and workplace interior projects**.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in designing corporate offices and commercial spaces, with the ability to manage projects from concept development through detailed design and coordination with execution teams.
The candidate should possess a strong understanding of space planning, materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, services coordination and current workplace design trends.
## Key Responsibilities
- Develop creative and functional interior design concepts for **commercial offices and workplace environments**.
- Prepare space plans, layouts, zoning concepts and design presentations based on client requirements.
- Create detailed design drawings, working drawings, elevations, sections and construction documentation.
- Develop mood boards, material palettes, finishes and furniture selections.
- Prepare and coordinate **3D visualisation concepts and presentation drawings**.
- Work closely with clients to understand their requirements, brand identity, operational needs and project expectations.
- Participate in client presentations, design discussions and project meetings.
- Coordinate with **MEP, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, IT, AV and other project consultants** to ensure proper integration into the design.
- Coordinate with project managers, site teams, vendors and contractors during execution.
- Conduct periodic site visits to ensure that the executed work is aligned with approved designs and specifications.
- Review shop drawings, samples, materials and finishes submitted by vendors.
- Resolve design-related issues arising during project execution.
- Prepare detailed material specifications, furniture schedules and finish schedules.
- Support preparation and review of BOQs wherever required.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, safety standards and client requirements.
- Maintain proper design documentation and revision records.
- Stay updated with current trends in **commercial interiors, workplace design, materials, furniture and sustainable design solutions**.
## Required Skills & Experience
- **5–6 years of professional interior design experience.**
- Strong experience in **commercial interiors, corporate offices and workplace fit-out projects is mandatory.**
- Proven experience handling projects from concept design through execution.
- Strong knowledge of space planning and workplace design principles.
- Good understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting and interior construction methods.
- Strong understanding of services coordination including MEP and HVAC.
- Ability to prepare and understand detailed working drawings.
- Experience coordinating with site teams, consultants, contractors and vendors.
- Strong presentation and client communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
## Software Proficiency
Candidates should have good working knowledge of:
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp
- Revit – preferred
- Adobe Photoshop
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Microsoft Office
- Rendering software such as Enscape, V-Ray, Lumion or equivalent
## Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related field.
