Job Title / Role: Transmission - Design engineer

Education Qualification: B.E in Mechanical/Automobile Production Engineering
Required Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in engine subsystem design and development & Preferred experience in design of : Crankcases, Engine covers, and Structural powertrain comp
Role Description
1. Design and develop crankcase, Transmission covers, and associated structural components from concept to production.
Create and release 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and engineering documentation using CATIA.
Perform simulation-driven design validation using CATIA CAE tools, including structural, modal, thermal, fatigue, and optimization studies.
Lead DFMEA, design reviews, tolerance analysis, and engineering change management activities.
Investigate customer complaints, field issues, warranty concerns, and validation failures; identify root causes and implement robust corrective actions.
Drive Value Engineering (VE) and cost reduction initiatives through design, material, process
Develop and implement new technologies, design methodologies, materials, and manufacturing concepts to improve performance, durability, weight, and cost.
Support prototype builds, testing, industrialization, and production readiness activities.
Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, testing, sourcing, suppliers, service and program teams for successful project execution.
Internal - Design, CAE, Testing & Validation, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchase, Vehicle Integration.
External - Suppliers, Casting & Machining Vendors, Consultants, Technology Partners.
