Fashion Designer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fashion Designer role based in Mumbai. The Fashion Designer will conceptualize and develop original collections across the trends. Day-to-day responsibilities include sketching designs, selecting textiles and trims, developing printing concepts, and collaborating with pattern makers and artisans to translate ideas into finished garments. The role involves overseeing fittings, ensuring precise construction and drape, and refining silhouettes to meet design and comfort standards. The Fashion Designer will work closely with production, merchandising, and creative teams to maintain quality, adhere to timelines, and contribute to storytelling and brand identity across campaigns and collections.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Fashion Design and Fashion concepts, with the ability to create original, contemporary, and inclusive collections.
Proficiency in Embroidery design and techniques, including working with artisans to develop detailed surface embellishments.
Expertise in Fitting and garment construction, with attention to silhouette, comfort, and tailoring across diverse body types.
Knowledge of Textiles, including fabric properties, sourcing, and material selection suitable for luxury and bridal wear.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including pattern makers, karigars, and production staff.
Strong sketching and visualization skills; familiarity with fashion design software is an advantage.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple design projects within deadlines.
Prior experience in high-fashion, couture, or luxury RTW is preferred; a relevant degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a related field is beneficial.
