Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and creative Interior Designer to join our design team in Hyderabad.
The candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, developing functional and aesthetically appealing interior designs, preparing detailed modular furniture layouts, and presenting designs to customers.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in modular kitchens, wardrobes, bedrooms, TV units, study units, storage solutions, and other residential furniture.
Important:
This is an on-site role based in Hyderabad. Candidates should be currently based in Hyderabad or willing to relocate to Hyderabad.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client & Design Understanding
Understand customer requirements, lifestyle, preferences, budget and functional needs.
Study site measurements, floor plans and architectural drawings.
Translate customer requirements into practical and aesthetically appealing designs.
Suggest suitable layouts, materials, finishes, colours and hardware.
2. Interior & Modular Furniture Design
Create detailed designs for kitchens, wardrobes, bedrooms, living rooms, TV units, study areas, pooja units and other residential spaces.
Develop space-efficient and functional furniture solutions.
Prepare 2D layouts, elevations and 3D designs/renders.
Ensure designs are technically feasible for manufacturing and installation.
Maintain accuracy in dimensions, clearances, storage requirements and hardware placement.
3. Customer Presentations
Present designs and concepts clearly to customers.
Explain layouts, materials, finishes, colours, hardware and design features.
Incorporate customer feedback and make design revisions where required.
Guide customers in selecting materials, laminates, handles, hardware and other finishes.
Help customers make informed design decisions while maintaining the overall design concept.
4. Design Quality & Timelines
Complete designs within defined timelines.
Maintain consistency and quality across customer projects.
Ensure approved designs are properly documented before production.
Minimize errors, revisions and design-related rework.
Required Skills & Experience
2–6 years of relevant experience in interior design, preferably in modular furniture, kitchens, wardrobes or residential interiors.
Hyderabad-based candidates preferred / candidates must be willing to work on-site in Hyderabad.
Strong knowledge of modular furniture design and residential space planning.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Enscape, Infurnia or similar tools.
Good understanding of furniture materials, laminates, hardware, finishes and construction methods.
Strong knowledge of measurements and technical drawings.
Good understanding of proportions, colour combinations, materials and aesthetics.
Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
Ability to present designs confidently and professionally.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
