Have you recently graduated or are you early in your engineering career and looking for an opportunity to work with some of the most advanced technology in the world?
At ASM, you'll join a team that enables the next generation of semiconductor chips. As an Early Career Field Service Engineer, you will receive hands-on training, mentorship from experienced engineers, and the opportunity to work directly with cutting-edge ALD and Epitaxy equipment at some of the world's leading semiconductor manufacturers.
This is not a desk job. You'll be in the field, solving real engineering challenges, supporting customers, and developing technical expertise that will set the foundation for a long-term career in the semiconductor industry
What does this role look like?
Learn and Grow
Participate in a structured training and development program.
Learn how to install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ASM semiconductor equipment.
Work alongside experienced Field Service Engineers and technical experts.
Develop expertise in vacuum systems, electronics, robotics, software, and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
Support Leading Semiconductor Manufacturers
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and qualifications.
Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting activities.
Support customers in resolving technical issues and minimizing equipment downtime.
Help ensure ASM equipment operates at peak performance.
Build Technical Expertise
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues.
Participate in root cause investigations and problem-solving activities.
Document service activities and technical findings.
Collaborate with engineering and global support teams to solve complex challenges.
Work as Part of a Global Team
Partner with customers, engineers, and colleagues from around the world.
Share knowledge and learn from industry experts.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Physics
Materials Science
Mechatronics
Electronics
Or a related technical discipline
Skills & Attributes
Curious and eager to learn new technologies.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Hands-on mindset with an interest in troubleshooting equipment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Customer-focused with a positive, can-do attitude.
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Travel & Flexibility
Willingness to travel extensively during the first year for training (up to 70% to Asia, US or Europe)
Ability to work in cleanroom environments.
Flexibility to support customer schedules when required.
