Your Opportunity
As a Computer Vision Engineer on BeGig, you’ll work on freelance projects focused on developing AI-powered vision systems that enable machines to understand and interpret images and video. You’ll help organizations build intelligent solutions for automation, inspection, surveillance, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, autonomous systems, and more—without the constraints of a traditional full-time role.
What You’ll Do
Design and develop computer vision and image processing applications
Build, train, and deploy deep learning models for image and video analysis
Develop solutions for object detection, image classification, segmentation, tracking, and OCR
Integrate computer vision models into web, mobile, edge, or cloud-based applications
Optimize models for accuracy, latency, and real-time inference
Work with image datasets, annotation pipelines, and data augmentation techniques
Deploy AI models using cloud platforms or edge devices
Evaluate model performance and continuously improve accuracy and reliability
Collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver production-ready solutions
What We’re Looking For
Strong experience in Computer Vision and Deep Learning
Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or YOLO
Experience with CNNs, Vision Transformers (ViTs), or other modern computer vision architectures
Familiarity with object detection, segmentation, OCR, pose estimation, or video analytics
Experience with model optimization, deployment, and inference pipelines
Knowledge of edge AI, NVIDIA TensorRT, OpenVINO, or TensorFlow Lite is a plus
Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and MLOps practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
A self-driven freelancer who can independently develop and deploy computer vision solutions
