We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Development Engineer to strengthen our Product Development & Engineering team.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Wire Harness, Cable Assembly and Electromechanical Assembly product development, with the ability to take projects from customer requirements through development and production.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Understand customer drawings, specifications and technical requirements
• Develop Wire Harness & Cable Assembly products based on customer requirements
• Prepare and maintain BOM, part specifications and engineering documentation
• Select suitable wires, terminals, connectors, sleeves, tapes and other components
• Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and product feasibility studies
• Develop prototypes and coordinate sample build and validation
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Purchase and Suppliers during NPI
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, design optimization and process improvement
• Handle engineering changes, revisions and ECN/ECR documentation
• Support customer technical discussions and resolve product-related issues
• Support the RFQ process by evaluating technical feasibility, BOM and material requirements
• Ensure successful transition of developed products from Prototype → Pilot → Mass Production
🎯 Preferred Technical Skills
✅ Strong knowledge of Wire Harness & Cable Assembly
✅ Good understanding of Crimping, Termination, Connectors and Cables
✅ Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings & Specifications
✅ Experience in BOM preparation and component selection
✅ Knowledge of NPI / New Product Development
✅ Understanding of DFM and manufacturing processes
✅ Experience in customer technical coordination
✅ Good problem-solving and analytical skills
✅ Knowledge of quality requirements and relevant industry standards will be an advantage
👤 Qualification & Experience
Qualification: BE / B.Tech / Diploma – Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / related engineering discipline
Experience: 5+ years in Product Development / Wire Harness / Cable Assembly / related manufacturing industry
