About this role
Just Eat Takeaway is looking for a Technology Manager to lead and grow the Partner App engineering team in the Service & Supply domain. Please note that this position is located in London (3 days a week at our Enschede office and 2 days working from home)
In this role, you will lead a cross-functional team driving mobile platform strategy, expanding capabilities for restaurant and grocery partner supervisors, and integrating AI-driven growth recommendations to help partners maximize value from their JET partnership.
These are some of the key components to the position:
Lead cross-functional engineering teams spanning React Native, Vue.js, .NET, and PHP to deliver high-impact mobile solutions at scale.
Provide primary accountability for technical direction, roadmap definition, software quality, and execution across product development teams.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers and stakeholders to define key product features and align domain priorities with commercial needs.
Position the mobile app as a key focal point for JET’s AI strategy by surfacing personalized recommendations, growth insights, and intelligent nudges.
Own the Partner App architecture, providing core services like navigation and messaging to streamline capability delivery for other teams.
Guide, mentor, and set goals for engineers to build a high-performance culture and support their career growth aspirations.
Align capabilities across teams to ensure a unified user experience and drive continuous engineering process improvements.
Oversee end-to-end delivery by deploying and supporting functionality in production, ensuring operational stability and high performance.
Transparently communicate progress, technical patterns, and engineering standards with teams, peers, and the Head of Engineering.
What will you bring to the team?
Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering teams spanning mobile (React Native), frontend (Vue.js, JS/TS), and backend technologies (.NET, PHP).
Track record of delivering high-quality software projects in an Agile environment (Scrum or Kanban) while driving engineering best practices.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with leveraging AI-driven features, smart recommendations, or automated insights within consumer or partner applications.
Ability to work independently, solve complex technical problems, and navigate event-driven architectures (Kafka, SNS/SQS).
Dedicated approach to coaching, mentoring, and inspiring engineers to foster continuous learning and a high-performance team culture.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to align engineering priorities with broader business and commercial strategy.
Commitment to continuous improvement, transparent progress tracking, and sharing operational standards across the wider engineering organization.
