Develop, enhance, and maintain Teradata-based data warehouse solutions aligned to business requirements.
Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, views, and stored logic to support analytics and reporting needs.
Perform performance tuning using Teradata features (e.g., statistics, indexing strategies, partitioning) to improve query efficiency.
Design and implement ETL/ELT workflows and data transformations within Teradata environments.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency through validation checks, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis of data issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate functional requirements into technical specifications and deliverables.
Support production deployments, monitor batch workloads, and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs.
Maintain technical documentation for data models, mappings, and operational procedures. Minimum Qualifications:
3–5 years of experience working with Teradata in data warehousing or analytics environments.
Strong hands-on experience in SQL, including complex joins, aggregations, window functions, and query optimization.
Experience with data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, fact/dimension structures) and data quality practices.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering/Technology/Computer Applications/Science (BE/BTech/MTech/MCA/MSc or equivalent).
Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Teradata utilities and tooling such as BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, and TPT for data movement and automation.
Exposure to workload management and performance diagnostics (e.g., query plans, statistics collection strategies).
Familiarity with ETL orchestration and scheduling concepts for batch and incremental processing.
Experience working in Agile delivery models with strong ownership of deliverables and timelines.
Proven ability to improve existing warehouse processes through optimization, standardization, and documentation best practices. Good to have skills: Teradata Utilities (BTEQ, TPT), Performance Tuning, Data Modeling (Dimensional), ETL/ELT Concepts, Agile/Scrum
