Senior AI Engineer

At the core of the role
We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer with a Founding Engineer mindset to join an innovative project focused on transforming complex geological and engineering data into intelligent, structured, and interactive systems. You will build end-to-end solutions — from scraping and ingesting large-scale geological datasets to orchestrating AI agents, developing AI/ML pipelines, and rendering complex insights through interactive 3D interfaces.
You will work at the intersection of AI, Knowledge Graphs, Computer Vision, large-scale data processing, and 3D visualization, helping automate the understanding of engineering documentation and transform unstructured information into simulation-ready models and actionable insights.
In this role, you will have significant ownership across the technical stack, from data ingestion and AI workflows to backend services and user-facing applications. You will collaborate closely with engineers and domain experts to turn complex requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions.
You will become a key member of a multidisciplinary team working on intelligent engineering systems, contributing to both the technical direction of the product and its evolution from early-stage concepts into working solutions.
Core skills you’ll bring
Strong hands-on experience with Python and backend development
Practical experience with LLMs, VLMs, and AI frameworks such as LangChain, HuggingFace, or similar
Experience building and orchestrating AI agents and agentic workflows
Hands-on experience with Knowledge Graphs and graph databases, particularly Neo4j
Experience with vector databases such as Qdrant, Pinecone, or Vertex AI
Solid understanding of Machine Learning / Deep Learning, including document understanding
Practical experience with Computer Vision and object detection pipelines
Experience building production-grade APIs with FastAPI
Experience with Docker, GitHub, CI/CD, and modern software engineering practices
Experience with GCP, particularly Cloud Run
Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis
Nice-to-have
Experience working with large-scale geological, engineering, scientific, or geospatial datasets
Experience with 3D visualization, 3D data, or interactive graphical interfaces
Experience with Streamlit, React, or similar technologies for building data/AI interfaces
Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Temporal or Celery
Experience with engineering documentation such as P&IDs, technical specifications, or simulation models
Experience with 1D simulation models or tools such as Amesim
Experience working in an early-stage or Founding Engineer-type environment, taking ownership across multiple technical areas
The impact you'll create
Build end-to-end data pipelines, from scraping and ingesting large-scale geological and engineering datasets to processing and structuring data for AI applications
Convert system descriptions, P&IDs, manufacturer specifications, and other unstructured sources into structured Knowledge Graphs
Enhance Knowledge Graph generation by integrating real-time system data and additional data sources
Design and orchestrate AI agents and agentic workflows to automate complex engineering and data-processing tasks
Develop LLM/VLM and ML/DL pipelines for document understanding, information extraction, and system interpretation
Build KG-to-Model mapping logic to automatically generate initial 1D simulation models, such as Amesim models
Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI
Build interactive 3D visualizations and interfaces that transform complex geological and engineering data into actionable insights
Create demo and admin interfaces using Streamlit or React
Ensure the scalability, observability, reliability, and performance of AI and data-processing workflows
Collaborate with engineers and domain experts to translate complex real-world problems into practical AI-powered solutions
