Job Title: Freelancing - Workday HCM Consultant

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job? Configuration, Support & Delivery ~35%
Configure and support Workday modules (HCM, Time Tracking, Absence, etc.)
Execute enhancements, fixes, and releases, including SIT/UAT testing and deployment
Troubleshoot issues and resolve production support tickets within SLAs
Maintain configuration documentation, migration logs, and release artifacts Reporting, Data & Integrations ~25%
Build and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks across systems
Support integrations (EIBs, APIs, inbound/outbound feeds) including monitoring and error resolution
Develop and maintain standard reporting library and reusable analytics assets Security & Compliance ~20%
Administer Workday security framework (roles, domains, business process security policies)
Execute user access provisioning, modifications, and deprovisioning
Perform periodic access reviews, SOD analysis, and audit support
Maintain security documentation, controls evidence, and compliance artifacts Process Improvement & Automation — ~10%
Identify process inefficiencies and recommend automation and simplification opportunities
Support AI-enabled reporting, data validation, and automation initiatives
Analyze ticket trends and system gaps to inform improvements Stakeholder Support & Operations — ~10%
Gather requirements and support stakeholders with reporting, security, and system needs
Provide end-user support, training materials, and knowledge base documentation
Assist with UAT coordination and business validation activities What are the requirements needed for this position
Experience
4-6 years of experience in Workday, with strong focus on Reporting and Security
Hands-on experience with HCM, Time Tracking, and Absence modules
Experience building complex reports, dashboards, and calculated fields
Experience managing Workday security framework
Exposure to integrations (EIBs, APIs) and data validation
Experience supporting global HR systems and users
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid understanding of Workday data model and business process framework
Attention to detail with strong data validation and quality mindset
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Experience Skills & Knowledge
Workday certifications (Reporting, Security, or HCM)
Experience with AI/automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Copilot)
Experience with global organizations and compliance environments
Exposure to other People Tech tools
Experience with advanced analytics or visualization tools
