RESPONSIBILITIES
Clean air conditioning units and MCC VSD panel’s air filters on a weekly basis.
Clean Filter elements, Water rotameters and Instrument Air compressor cooler on a weekly basis
Check oil levels of pumps, and fill up where required, on a weekly basis.
Grease the recycle compressor bearings every three months.
Compliance with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Compliance with the ISO 14001 Standards and Procedures.
Compliance with Evonik Corporate Standards.
Maintains the housekeeping in the Workshop and Engineering areas.
Ensures compliance with company EHS and housekeeping policies.
Maintains a good working relationship with management, operating staff and outside contractors.
Carry out day-to-day work in a safe and efficient manner.
Carry out daily plant inspections to identify visible problems with plant equipment.
Drives the forklift for engineering tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 Matric certificate or NQF 4 mechanical fitting
Mechanical Fitter Trade test
Basic experience of simple office / operational systems
Works part of a team reporting to the Mechanical maintenance supervisor to plan, organize activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
Uses clear and effective verbal communication skills to express ideas, request actions and formulate plans.
Manages and applies safe systems of work.
