Jr Chemist

SUMMARY
Conduct physicochemical analyses of petroleum products, chemicals, and crude oil following industry standards and guidelines
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Analyze research results and prepare comprehensive reports.
· Maintain accurate documentation and records of laboratory tests, inventories and equipment.
· Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of laboratory equipment including calibration as necessary.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laboratory environment.
· Participate in proficiency testing programs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
· Authorize research results and ensure data integrity.
· Manage laboratory operations during assigned shifts.
· Provide training to new laboratory recruits when required.
· Continuously update knowledge and skills within the field.
· To always respect and protect company and client confidentiality.
· Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to operational excellence.
· Follow all company instructions and procedures such as Saybolt: Administration and Operational Instructions Letter, Compliance Code, HSE Procedures, Quality Manual, Ethics Policy and all instructions accordingly.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Ordinary level standard qualifications, science subjects will be regarded as an asset.
· Experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the petroleum or chemical industry will be considered an asset.
· Experience with equipment operation and maintenance will be considered an asset.
· Knowledge of English (minimum C1).
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
· Holds a valid European driving licence and has own transport.
