AWS Data Architect (Remote)

For our client, we are seeking a AWS Data Architect (Remote) to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space.
This role will shape the architecture for scalable, cloud-based data solutions that power analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases. You will provide technical leadership across design reviews, implementation standards, and data governance practices while partnering with stakeholders to align platforms to business needs. The position also plays a key role in building real-time streaming capabilities and ensuring data quality across multiple domains.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $132,000 – $150,000 annually
Responsibilities
Provide hands-on technical leadership through code reviews and design walk-throughs
Design and implement real-time data streaming architectures
Define and enforce best practices for data access and processing
Architect and implement scalable data platforms using AWS native services
Ensure architectures support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML queries
Drive end-to-end data modeling across various domains
Develop robust data quality frameworks to ensure data integrity
Qualifications
11+ years in software engineering or relevant IT experience
Strong knowledge of data architecture patterns, including lakehouse, warehouse, and mesh approaches
Hands-on expertise with AWS services such as SQS, API Gateway, SNS, Kinesis, Glue, and Redshift
Proven experience designing and operating large-scale data platforms on AWS
Solid experience with data modeling for analytical and operational use cases
Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and data streaming
Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
