For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - IP&R Reliability Engineering (Remote) to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space.
This role will focus on building and improving automated monitoring, reliability, and workflow systems that support enterprise operations. You will help reduce operational toil through scripting, modernization, and smarter incident response, while partnering closely with agile teams to deliver reliable, testable solutions. The position also offers the opportunity to mentor engineers and strengthen execution across scheduling, alerting, and operational health processes.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $112,500 – $135,000 annually
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated monitoring and reliability systems
Lead initiatives to reduce operational toil through scripting and modernization
Collaborate in agile teams to create valuable and testable user stories
Mentor junior engineers on scripting and workflow scheduling
Develop and maintain robust testing suites to ensure software accuracy and reliability
Optimize enterprise batch execution across various scheduling platforms
Streamline alerting and incident management using modern tools
Qualifications
4+ years in software engineering, SRE, DevOps, or automation in an enterprise environment
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, Java, Go, or Groovy
Experience with API integrations and operational health automations
Hands-on experience with enterprise workload automation tools, such as Rundeck, CA7, or Maestro
Proven track record of migrating and modernizing batch job flows
Experience configuring alerting systems and incident response integrations
Familiarity with retail supply chain operations and cloud/containerization platforms
