Senior Software Engineer - Iris AI

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Iris AI to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.
This role will focus on building and evolving backend services that power AI-enabled product capabilities in a modern cloud environment. The engineer will partner closely with product and UX teams to deliver reliable, scalable experiences while maintaining high standards for architecture, code quality, and production readiness. The position also involves applying AI-assisted development practices to improve delivery speed and technical rigor.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $135,000 – $160,000 annually
Responsibilities
Build and manage scalable backend services in C#/.NET, Python, and Go on Azure and Kubernetes
Implement LLM-powered features, including model pipelines and evaluations
Design event-driven, asynchronous architectures across microservices
Oversee end-to-end delivery, including CI/CD and production incident response
Collaborate closely with product and UX teams, participating in design and code reviews
Utilize AI in daily coding practices while maintaining high development standards
Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience designing and building production backend services using C#/.NET, Python, or Go
Hands-on experience developing products with LLMs, including inference and tool calling
Fluency in AI-assisted development techniques and methodologies
Strong understanding of distributed systems, API design, and microservices architecture
Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS architecture and operations at scale
