Sr. Software Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.
This role will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of modern software solutions that support financial services operations.
The engineer will work across the application lifecycle, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver clean, reliable code and improve the performance of web applications and data workflows.
This position will also help troubleshoot complex technical issues, support code quality through reviews, and contribute to feature development in an agile environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000 annually
Responsibilities
Contribute to code and design reviews to support smooth operations and planning
Participate in all stages of the application lifecycle, with an emphasis on coding and debugging
Write clean, functional web application code
Build and maintain data pipelines for incoming data transformation
Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues
Perform UI tests to enhance application performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and develop new features
Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of experience in software development or a related field
Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Kotlin or Java
Strong full-stack development skills, particularly with modern JavaScript frameworks including Vue.js
Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Kubernetes
Solid knowledge of Kafka and event-driven architecture
Effective collaborator within agile environments with strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and analytical skills
