Senior Field Engineer-Electrical/Mechanical Integration

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Field Engineer-Electrical/Mechanical Integration to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.
This role is centered on hands-on field engineering support for complex electrical and mechanical systems in a mission-driven environment. The Senior Field Engineer will help ensure fielded equipment is installed, integrated, verified, and maintained to meet performance, safety, and design requirements. In addition, this person will collaborate closely with technicians and multidisciplinary teams to resolve issues, document findings, and strengthen on-site execution.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $130,000 – $160,000 annually
Responsibilities
Perform hands-on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fielded electrical systems
Support mechanical installation of hardware and ensure proper integration with electrical systems
Interpret wiring and mechanical diagrams to assist with installation and verification
Conduct inspections to verify compliance with design and safety standards
Troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical circuits and instrumentation using test equipment
Document field observations, discrepancies, and corrective actions thoroughly according to program standards
Provide on-the-job mentorship to technicians, promoting skill development in electrical and mechanical disciplines
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline preferred, or equivalent hands-on technical experience
Minimum 15 years of hands-on field engineering experience in relevant roles
Expertise in troubleshooting electrical systems and low-voltage circuits
Ability to support mechanical integration tasks such as installation and fit checks
Proficiency in reading and interpreting various technical drawings and instructions
Experience using standard electrical test and measurement equipment
Strong communication skills for effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams
