Director, Software Engineering Manager

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Software Engineering Manager to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.
This role will lead complex technology initiatives that support core business operations and service delivery across the organization. The Director will partner closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate needs into actionable project requests, while ensuring applications and technical resources are aligned to committed outcomes. In addition, this leader will mentor teams, strengthen talent capabilities, and help guide hiring, training, and performance across the function.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $107,060 – $159,390 annually
Responsibilities
Lead and manage complex IT projects and initiatives
Mentor and develop project team competencies
Coordinate service delivery in line with negotiated commitments
Manage the application portfolio and communicate needs to IT teams
Collaborate with business partners to define project requests
Oversee hiring, training, and evaluation of staff
Maintain knowledge of industry practices and trends
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Sciences or equivalent experience required
Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences preferred
9+ years of experience in project management, programming, or systems analysis required
LOMA certification preferred
Highly advanced project management and systems analysis skills required
Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills required
Knowledge of modern programming languages required
