Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Vmware Consultant role based in the Pune Division. The consultant will design, implement, and optimize VMware-based infrastructure, including vSphere, VMware Cloud Foundation, and related virtualization components. Daily responsibilities include configuring and managing virtual machines, storage, and networking, performing system health checks, and resolving technical issues through proactive troubleshooting. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams and clients to gather requirements, create deployment plans, document configurations, and ensure stable, secure, and high-performing environments. The consultant will also assist with upgrades, migrations, performance tuning, and adherence to best practices and compliance guidelines.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Infrastructure skills, including experience with enterprise data center environments and virtualization platforms.
Candidates should possess advanced Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving complex VMware and infrastructure issues.
Candidates should possess VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent VMware certification, demonstrating expertise in VMware solutions.
Candidates should possess solid Networking skills, including virtual networking, VLANs, and TCP/IP fundamentals.
Candidates should possess practical experience with Windows server environments and integration with virtualized infrastructure.
Additional qualifications: knowledge of storage and backup solutions, experience with VMware Cloud Foundation and Tanzu, and familiarity with security and compliance best practices.
Strong analytical and documentation skills, ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and willingness to work on-site in the Pune Division.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in enterprise IT and virtualization.
