We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer with 8+yrs of experience in design, implement, execute, and maintain reliable automated tests for distributed applications and connected-service workflows. The engineer will build C#-based REST API and UI automation, integrate suites into CI/CD pipelines, analyze failures, and collaborate with verification, development, DevOps, and product teams to improve release quality.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze product, system, interface, and software requirements and translate them into maintainable automated test scenarios.
Develop and maintain C# automation for REST APIs, web user interfaces, integration workflows, and regression scenarios.
Create reusable test utilities, data builders, service clients, page objects, assertions, and reporting components.
Validate JSON/XML payloads, authentication and authorization, database records, event-driven integrations, negative paths, and boundary conditions.
Integrate automated smoke and regression suites with Azure DevOps or equivalent CI/CD pipelines and maintain stable daily execution.
Investigate failed tests using application logs, API traces, network diagnostics, database queries, and pipeline artifacts.
Maintain requirements-to-test traceability, objective evidence, defect records, and release verification reports.
Review automation code, improve coverage, support root-cause analysis, and mentor less-experienced engineers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Mandatory: Strong hands-on C# and .NET programming skills, including object-oriented design, asynchronous programming, exception handling, and debugging.
Proven REST API automation experience using suitable .NET libraries and test frameworks such as NUnit, xUnit, or MSTest.
Mandatory: Hands-on UI test automation experience using Selenium WebDriver and/or Playwright.
Mandatory: Understanding of GraphQL (GQL), including queries, mutations, schemas, and API validation.
Experience with API contracts, HTTP methods and status codes, JSON/XML, SQL, authentication, authorization, and test-data management.
Working knowledge of Git, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, test reporting, and troubleshooting unstable automation.
Understanding of risk-based testing, requirements traceability, defect management, and formal verification evidence.
Experience in mobile application automation is a plus.
Preferred Skills
Experience testing microservices, Azure-hosted applications, Docker or Kubernetes deployments, message brokers, and distributed workflows.
Knowledge of healthcare interoperability, HL7, FHIR, medical-device integrations, or regulated software verification.
Experience with observability tools, centralized logging, API mocking, service virtualization, and automated quality gates.
ISTQB, Azure, or relevant automation certification is advantageous.
Knowledge of SIP infrastructure and media components such as Kamailio, FreeSWITCH, RTPEngine, SBCs, registrars, RTP, and WebRTC.
Experience with Azure Key Vault, Azure App Configuration, Azure Cache for Redis, Azure Web PubSub, Terraform, KEDA, and container security tooling.
Familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, risk management, cybersecurity expectations, and quality systems for regulated healthcare software.
Experience with Jira, Jama, validated toolchains, Agile/Scrum delivery, and formal release-readiness reviews.
