Role overview
We are looking for a Back End Developer who can build reliable services and also contribute to product architecture and production deployment. You will work closely with product, engineering, QA, and operations teams to take features from design through release and ongoing support.
What you’ll do
• Design, build, test, and maintain secure, scalable backend services and APIs.
• Translate product requirements into sound technical designs, data models, and service boundaries.
• Contribute to product architecture, technology choices, performance, reliability, and scalability decisions.
• Own features through development, code review, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Work with databases, caching, queues, observability, and cloud or container-based infrastructure as required.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement durable fixes.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and uphold engineering standards.
• Mentor teammates and collaborate across functions to deliver high-quality releases.
What we’re looking for
• Strong hands-on backend development experience with at least one modern server-side language and framework.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, distributed systems, databases, caching, asynchronous processing, and system design.
• Practical experience designing product architecture and making well-reasoned technical trade-offs.
• Hands-on knowledge of application deployment, CI/CD, containers, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and incident troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of security, authentication, authorization, testing, and performance optimization.
• Strong problem-solving, ownership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with high-availability, healthcare, or other regulated products is an advantage.
This role offers flexibility to work remotely, but candidates must be comfortable visiting the Mumbai office whenever business or team needs require it.
