Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fashion Designer role based in Bengaluru. The Fashion Designer will conceptualize and develop apparel and uniform collections aligned with client brand identities and functional requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating sketches and technical drawings, selecting fabrics and trims, and collaborating closely with sourcing, production, and merchandising teams to ensure design feasibility and quality standards. The role involves overseeing fittings, refining patterns, and incorporating embroidery and detailing to achieve the desired aesthetic and performance. The Fashion Designer will also stay informed about industry trends, innovations in textiles, and sustainable design practices to contribute fresh ideas to Authent’s product offerings.
Qualifications
Strong Fashion Design and Fashion skills, including concept development, sketching, and translating ideas into production-ready designs.
Knowledge of Textiles, fabric properties, and material selection suitable for apparel and uniforms.
Experience with Fitting, pattern adjustments, and garment construction to ensure comfort, durability, and brand-aligned silhouettes.
Proficiency in Embroidery and decorative techniques, with the ability to integrate branding and embellishments effectively.
Ability to use design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD tools) for technical packs and visual presentations.
Strong collaboration skills to work with sourcing, production, and quality teams, and to communicate clearly with clients and internal stakeholders.
Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Understanding of sustainable and ethical fashion practices, with interest in applying them to design and production processes.
Relevant academic background in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field; prior experience in apparel or uniform design is an advantage.
