The Team You'll Join
Our B2C Commercial Finance team in Bath works directly with revenue-generating units, focusing on media ads revenue and licensing across Future's global brand portfolio. We're responsible for maintaining financial reporting integrity, accurate forecasting, and insightful commercial analysis for our internal business partners. Based in our Bath head office on a hybrid basis (2–3 days per week), we build long-lasting relationships to help guide commercial strategy and streamline operational processes. You'll join a collaborative, data-focused group that proactively identifies growth opportunities while evaluating new initiatives and financial models.
What you'll do
Reporting to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager in Bath, you'll manage the Advertising Waterfall model to support our media ads and licensing teams. You'll partner closely with the VP for Ad Operations, Programmatic & Yield, alongside Business Intelligence and Management Accounts teams. In this role, you'll evaluate impression volumes, pricing yields, and audience metrics across UK and US markets to guide commercial strategy.
On a daily basis, you'll build and refine financial models using Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel to analyse Display Advertising revenue and cost of sales. You'll prepare month-end performance summaries, support annual budgeting cycles, and work with BI teams to enhance data reporting. Additionally, you'll serve as a trusted finance partner, providing clear analysis and guidance across operational teams.
Manage and update the Advertising Waterfall model to track impression volumes, pricing yields, and digital revenue trends.
Prepare month-end financial analysis comparing actual performance against forecasts, prior year results, and geographical brands.
Partner with Ad Operations and BI teams to evaluate inventory capacity, streamline manual inputs, and uncover revenue opportunities.
Support the production of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and ongoing financial estimates.
Review month-end management accounts covering Display Advertising revenue and associated cost of sales.
Collaborate across Finance and operational teams to evaluate risks, opportunities, and reporting accuracy.
What you’ll bring
Demonstrable experience in commercial finance, financial modelling, or data analysis within a commercial environment.
Full qualification or active progress toward an accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent practical experience.
Proficiency in managing large datasets and building financial models using Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify data discrepancies and resolve operational queries.
Collaborative communication skills with a proven track record of building positive relationships across cross-functional teams.
A curious, proactive approach to financial analysis with a focus on process improvement.
Minimum Requirements
Commercial finance experience or background analysing revenue, cost, or audience metrics.
Experience building financial models or working with complex datasets in Excel or Google Sheets.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders from our Bath head office on a hybrid basis (2–3 days per week).
Practical understanding of forecasting, budgeting, or month-end reporting processes.

The expected range for this role is £35,000 - £42,000
