Senior Python Developer (6–9 years)

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that support core business applications and platforms.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Python, backend development, REST/GraphQL APIs, microservices, system integrations, databases, and cloud-native technologies. You will work closely with architects, technical leads, DevOps, and cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment with evolving business and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, high-performance Python-based backend services and APIs.
Develop and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs for business-critical applications.
Build and manage integrations with internal and external systems and applications.
Collaborate with architects and technical leads on solution design, technical requirements, and implementation planning.
Implement observability and monitoring practices, including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability and quality.
Support and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and system or dependency failures.
Work with relational and NoSQL databases for data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
Collaborate with DevOps teams on Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployments.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.
Participate in business and technical workshops to understand requirements, identify challenges, and contribute to solution design.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
6–9 years of overall software development experience.
7+ years of hands-on experience with Python.
Strong experience with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Willingness to work 5 days a week from the Bangalore office.
Good to Have
Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Experience working with MES, laboratory, manufacturing, or other enterprise systems.
Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native application development.
Experience mentoring junior engineers or contributing to technical leadership.
