Job Description – Shopify WordPress Developer

About the Role
We are looking for a Shopify & WordPress Developer with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in website development, customization, and maintenance.
The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, customizing, and updating websites using Shopify and WordPress.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and customize Shopify websites.
Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Implement responsive and mobile-friendly designs.
Install, configure, and customize Shopify apps.
Troubleshoot Shopify theme and functionality-related issues.
Implement website changes according to design and business requirements.
Test websites across different browsers and devices.
WordPress Development
Develop, maintain, and update WordPress websites.
Work with PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic MySQL.
Work with page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, and Gutenberg.
Create and update WordPress pages, menus, forms, and website components.
Ensure responsive performance across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Assist with WooCommerce websites when required.
Convert Figma/UI designs into responsive Shopify and WordPress websites.
Maintain clean, organized, and reusable code.
Troubleshoot and resolve website bugs and technical issues.
Coordinate with designers, content teams, and senior developers.
Maintain and improve existing websites.
Required Skills
1–2 years of practical experience in Shopify and WordPress development.
Good understanding of Shopify and WordPress CMS.
Basic to good knowledge of Shopify Liquid.
Good knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
Basic to good knowledge of JavaScript/jQuery.
Basic knowledge of PHP.
Basic understanding of APIs and third-party integrations.
Basic understanding of MySQL/database concepts.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with Git/version control is an advantage.
Good to Have
Basic knowledge of Shopify CLI.
Experience with WooCommerce.
Basic knowledge of REST APIs and Shopify GraphQL APIs.
Experience with website speed and performance optimization.
Understanding of basic SEO principles.
Basic knowledge of website security and backups.
