Product Manager

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Product Manager role based in Mumbai. The Product Manager will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of solar and energy-related products, including market research, requirements gathering, roadmap development, and feature prioritization. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating customer and stakeholder needs into clear product specifications, coordinating with engineering, design, sales, and operations teams, and monitoring product performance after launch. The role involves analyzing market trends and competitor offerings, preparing business cases, and aligning product initiatives with SunSolarOne’s strategic goals. The Product Manager will also support go-to-market planning, create product documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement based on feedback and data.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in product management or a closely related role, preferably in energy, technology, or engineering-driven industries.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience with market research, data interpretation, and business case development.
Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present product plans clearly.
Solid understanding of product lifecycle processes, from discovery and requirements definition through development, launch, and post-launch optimization.
Familiarity with project management practices, agile or iterative methodologies, and tools used for tracking product tasks and deliverables.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or a related field; a master’s degree or MBA is an advantage.
Interest in renewable energy and sustainability, with a willingness to learn technical aspects of solar products and solutions.
Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a structured, detail-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment.

Own critical product charters—from our 3D solar design engine to fintech lending modules.
Turn complex field operations and supply chain bottlenecks into intuitive, seamless software features.
Work directly with engineering, design, and users to scale the clean energy transition.

3-5+ years of product management experience (B2B SaaS, Marketplace, or Fintech experience is a huge plus).
A deeply data-driven mindset combined with strong user empathy.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-autonomy startup environment.
