Hardware Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Hardware Design & Development
Design analog, digital, and mixed‑signal circuits for embedded and industrial applications.
Develop schematics, select components, and create reusable hardware modules.
Perform PCB layout (or work with layout engineers) ensuring signal integrity, manufacturability, and reliability.
Develop power‑supply circuits, sensor interfaces, communication interfaces, and protection circuitry.
Hardware Validation & Debugging
Lead hardware bring‑up, testing, and troubleshooting using instruments such as:
Oscilloscope
Logic analyzer
Multimeter
Power analyzer
Validate interfaces and subsystems (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, RS485, Ethernet, analog channels, etc.).
Perform root-cause analysis for hardware failures and drive corrective actions.
Documentation & Quality
Prepare detailed engineering documents including schematics, BOMs, test procedures, and release packets.
Ensure hardware complies with internal standards, EMI/EMC guidelines, and safety best practices.
Support DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability).
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with firmware, mechanical, validation, and manufacturing teams.
Support prototype builds, vendor coordination, and pre‑production reviews.
Provide hardware support during system integration and product lifecycle phases.

Work Experience
Technical Skills
Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering fields.
5 to 7 years of experience in Hardware Design and development
Strong Experience In
Analog/digital circuit design
Power electronics (low/medium power)
Sensor interfaces and protection circuits
Hands-on Expertise With
PCB design tools (Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD, etc.)
Hardware debugging instruments and methodologies
Solid understanding of EMI/EMC, grounding, filtering, thermal considerations, and reliability principles.
Familiarity With Communication Protocols
SPI, I2C, UART
CAN / LIN
RS485 / Modbus
Ethernet (optional)
Good To Have (Preferred)
Experience with ATE (Automated Test Equipment) design and development.
Exposure to HIL (Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop) setups or production test equipment.
Knowledge of PCB testability methods, fixture design, or test automation.
Understanding of IoT/connected hardware ecosystems (optional).
Experience working with embedded firmware teams and test engineers.
