Role Description This is a part-time Freelance Graphic Designer role in a hybrid arrangement, based in Delhi, India, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Graphic Designer will create visually compelling layouts for articles, features, and digital content that align with the magazine’s editorial vision and brand identity. Day-to-day tasks include designing graphics for print and web, preparing artwork for publication, collaborating with editors and writers on visual storytelling, and adapting designs for social media and other digital channels. The role also involves refining existing design assets, ensuring consistent branding across all platforms, and meeting deadlines for scheduled issues and campaigns.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Graphics and Graphic Design, with experience creating visuals for print and digital media.
Candidates should possess skills in Logo Design and Branding, including the ability to maintain and evolve a cohesive magazine identity.
Candidates should possess skills in Typography, with an eye for legibility, hierarchy, and style appropriate for editorial layouts.
Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or equivalent) and basic knowledge of digital file preparation for print and web.
Strong portfolio demonstrating editorial or publication design, attention to detail, and creativity in visual storytelling.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively with remote and on-site team members.
Familiarity with travel or lifestyle content is an advantage; prior experience with magazines or media organizations is preferred.
