Senior Structural Designer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Structural Designer role located in the Pune District. The Senior Structural Designer will lead the development of structural concepts, prepare detailed construction drawings, and coordinate closely with architects, civil engineers, and project managers to ensure design intent and feasibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing structural analysis and design for steel and concrete elements, reviewing and marking up drawings, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role involves extensive use of CAD tools, participation in design reviews, occasional site visits to resolve design and construction issues, and mentoring junior team members in best practices and quality standards. The position requires proactive communication, ownership of deliverables, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with the ability to analyze and design building and infrastructure systems.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating, reviewing, and updating detailed structural and construction drawings.
Hands-on experience in Steel Design, including connections, member sizing, and detailing for fabrication and erection.
Ability to develop, interpret, and coordinate Construction Drawings with multidisciplinary teams and site personnel.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Several years of relevant experience in structural design within consulting or construction environments, preferably with exposure to diverse project scales.
Familiarity with national and international design codes and standards, and practical understanding of construction methods and materials.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Comfort working on-site in Pune District, with flexibility for site visits and coordination meetings as needed.
