Company Description Arjun Rathi Design is a multidisciplinary studio that explores space through innovative lighting, fixtures, and installations that spark imagination. The studio works across the design spectrum, from unique, craft-based pieces to mass-produced objects developed with manufacturers. Rather than following a fixed style, the team focuses on questioning objects, their context, and the cultural associations they carry. The studio manages every project phase, from site visits and exploratory studies to design, technical drawings, production, and atmosphere creation. All final products and accessories are manufactured in-house, ensuring consistent quality and certification.
Role Description The Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for overseeing lighting and design projects from concept to completion. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating project timelines, managing resources, and aligning design, production, and logistics teams to meet quality and delivery standards. The role involves planning site visits, tracking project progress, handling expediting requirements, and ensuring inspections and quality checks are carried out at each project stage. The Project Manager will liaise with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and clients to maintain clear communication and resolve operational issues. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can balance creative demands with structured project execution in a fast-paced studio environment.
Qualifications
Project management skills, including Project Management and strong coordination abilities.
Expediting capabilities, such as experience as an Expeditor and handling Expediting tasks for design or production workflows.
Inspection skills, including overseeing Inspection processes and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Logistics Management skills for planning, tracking, and optimizing movement of materials and finished products.
Proven experience managing design, architecture, or product-focused projects, preferably in a studio or manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documentation.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, design management, architecture, business, or a related field is preferred.
Comfort working on-site in Mumbai and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
