Role Description As a Fashion Curator at VRO, you will be responsible for discovering, evaluating, and selecting apparel, accessories, and grooming products that align with the brand’s voice and audience needs. You will research emerging fashion trends, local and global brands, and cultural influences to curate collections that make decision-making easier for men. On a day-to-day basis, you will collaborate with design, content, and tech teams to translate curated choices into engaging product stories, lookbooks, and style guides for the AI marketplace. You will analyze customer feedback and performance data to refine selections and maintain a balance between style, affordability, and practicality. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kurla, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams and regular coordination with partners and vendors.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong understanding of men’s fashion, grooming, and lifestyle trends, with the ability to curate cohesive product selections that fit VRO’s brand and audience.
Experience in fashion buying, styling, visual merchandising, or fashion editorial work, preferably in e-commerce or retail environments.
Ability to conduct market, trend, and competitor research, and translate insights into actionable curation decisions and user-friendly style recommendations.
Skill in collaborating with design, content, and marketing teams to create clear product narratives, lookbooks, and fashion guides tailored to male shoppers.
Comfort working with data and customer feedback to refine assortments, improve user experience, and support commercial goals.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a focus on gender-neutral, inclusive, and non-judgmental messaging.
Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects, product categories, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant education in fashion design, fashion communication, merchandising, marketing, or a related field is preferred; practical industry experience is highly valued.
Openness to working on-site in Kurla and partnering closely with internal teams and external brands to build a differentiated marketplace.
Research and identify emerging fashion trends, designers, brands, fabrics, colours, silhouettes, and styling directions.
Curate fashion collections, products, outfits, and visual concepts based on seasonal trends and customer preferences.
Develop fashion edits, mood boards, trend reports, and styling concepts.
Collaborate with designers, stylists, buyers, merchandising, marketing, and creative teams.
Monitor global and local fashion trends, runway shows, social media, influencers, and street style.
Ensure curated selections are aligned with the brand identity and target customer.
Support photoshoots, campaigns, fashion stories, catalogue shoots, and digital content.
Evaluate products and collections for aesthetic appeal, relevance, quality, and trend alignment.
Create compelling fashion stories and presentations for customers and internal stakeholders.
Track customer and market response to curated collections and use insights to improve future selections.
Maintain awareness of competitor offerings and developments within the fashion industry.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design, Fashion Styling, Fashion Management, Merchandising, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of fashion, styling, fabrics, silhouettes, colour theory, and current trends.
Excellent visual and creative sense.
Strong research and trend-forecasting skills.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Ability to create mood boards and fashion concepts.
Strong attention to detail and understanding of brand aesthetics.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of fashion and social media platforms is an advantage.
