Senior Business Analyst

Job Description
This is not a heads-down requirements-gathering role. We want someone who is vocal, asks the uncomfortable questions early, challenges assumptions, and works closely with engineering and architecture to shape the solution design. If you enjoy untangling complex systems, bringing clarity where there's ambiguity, and being the person everyone turns to for "how does this all fit together?", this role is for you.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end picture
Build and maintain a holistic view of the billing landscape, including upstream and downstream systems, integrations, data flows, and business processes.
Identify dependencies, gaps, overlaps, and risks across workstreams, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Act as the connective tissue between business, product, engineering, finance, and external vendors or partners.
Shape the solution architecture
Partner with solution architects and engineering leads to define the target-state architecture, integration patterns, and data models.
Evaluate design options and trade-offs, and articulate them clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements that directly inform system design.
Ask the right questions and drive clarity
Lead discovery sessions and workshops with stakeholders to understand current-state processes, pain points, and edge cases.
Challenge requirements and assumptions constructively to get to the real problem behind the request.
Surface open decisions, drive them to resolution, and keep a clear record of what was decided and why.
Document everything that matters
Produce high-quality artifacts such as current and future-state process maps, system context and integration diagrams, data flow diagrams, business requirements documents, user stories with acceptance criteria, and decision logs.
Maintain a single source of truth for the program that stays current as the solution evolves.
Write documentation people actually read: concise, visual where helpful, and tailored to the audience.
Communicate and influence
Present regularly to stakeholders at all levels, from working teams to senior leadership.
Proactively flag risks, blockers, and scope concerns before they become problems.
Build strong relationships and alignment across teams with competing priorities.
Support delivery
Work within Agile teams to refine backlogs, prioritize features, and clarify requirements during development.
Support test planning, UAT, data migration validation, and cutover planning.
Help define success metrics and validate that delivered solutions meet business needs.
Qualifications
6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role, with at least some of that on large, cross-functional transformation or re-platforming programs.
Proven ability to understand and document complex, multi-system landscapes end to end.
Hands-on experience contributing to solution design and architecture decisions, not just gathering requirements.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You are comfortable speaking up, facilitating workshops, pushing back, and presenting to executives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a knack for spotting what's missing.
Solid understanding of integration concepts such as APIs, middleware, event-driven patterns, batch interfaces, and data mapping.
Proficiency with process and architecture modeling tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, Draw.io, or similar, and familiarity with notations like BPMN or UML.
Experience working in Agile environments and with tools like AzureDevops, Jira and Confluence.
A fast learner who can pick up new technologies, platforms, and business domains quickly and get comfortable with ambiguity.
Nice-to-haves
Any exposure to SAP (for example S/4HANA, FI/CO, SD, or BRIM) is a plus but not required.
Domain experience in billing, invoicing, revenue management, order-to-cash, or financial systems.
Experience with data migration and legacy system decommissioning.
Basic SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, TOGAF, or Agile/Scrum certifications.
Experience working with global or distributed teams.
