About the Role
Synax Technologies is looking for, dynamic, and driven IT Engineer who is eager to learn, adapt, and evolve with our fast-growing technical team. Working directly under the guidance of the IT Manager, you will play a key part in supporting our core IT infrastructure, managing cloud identities, maintaining enterprise server environments, and keeping network operations seamless for our clients and internal systems.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud & Identity Management: Administer and optimize Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Intune for device enrollment, access control, baseline security policies, and identity lifecycle management.
Server Administration: Deploy, configure, patch, and troubleshoot both Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL/CentOS) environments to maintain maximum uptime and performance.
Network & Security Operations: Managing office networks by applying functional knowledge of IP subnetting, VLANs, routing/switching, and the OSI model. Support cybersecurity best practices, endpoint protection, and managed security controls across endpoints and infrastructure.
Systems Maintenance & Support: Perform routine backup management, disaster recovery testing, performance monitoring, and rapid L2/L3 technical troubleshooting.
Technical Requirements
Proven hands-on administration of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune.
Strong background in Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP) and Linux Server administration.
solid grasp of core Networking concepts: IPv4 subnetting, routing/switching, firewalls, and deep understanding of the OSI Layer.
Experience implementing or maintaining basic cybersecurity controls (e.g., EDR, patch management, access security, logging).
Qualifications & Desired Traits
Experience: 5 years of relevant experience in enterprise IT, a Managed IT Services (MSP) provider, or a Cybersecurity-focused organization.
Growth Mindset: High initiative, eagerness to learn emerging technologies, and an adaptable approach to problem-solving.
Communication: Clear verbal and written technical communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and vendors.
