Personal Insurance Product Assistant Director, State - AL, MS, LA

For our client, we are seeking a Personal Insurance Product Assistant Director, State - AL, MS, LA to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.
This role will guide personal lines product strategy across assigned states, with a focus on balancing growth, profitability, and competitive positioning. You will partner with distribution, underwriting, pricing, and analytics stakeholders to shape product decisions that support strong state-level performance. The position also requires clear communication of results and recommendations to senior leadership in a highly regulated insurance environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $107,600 – $161,400 annually
Responsibilities
Drive topline growth and manage margins across Direct and Agency channels in assigned states
Oversee rate level and product offering management while ensuring state compliance and competitive advantage
Implement product enhancements based on performance analysis and collaborate with Auto and Home line teams on multistate impacts
Communicate state performance results and strategic impacts to senior leaders
Develop action plans for aligning results with targets
Qualifications
3+ years in P&C insurance with 2+ years in Product or P&L Management; pricing, underwriting, or data & analytics experience preferred
In-depth understanding of Personal Lines insurance products and distribution channels
Strong analytical skills with business and financial acumen; familiarity with financial statements and actuarial concepts
Knowledge of data analysis tools like ThoughtSpot; strong Excel skills required; SQL, SAS, and Snowflake knowledge is a plus
Exceptional presentation and executive communication skills; ability to synthesize complex ideas into clear messages
Proven relationship management capabilities and collaboration skills to drive results
Experience challenging the status quo and influencing stakeholders positively; able to make quick, data-driven decisions
