Lead Software Engineer

Role Description
The Lead Software Engineer role at EVeez is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. This role is responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of back-end services and APIs that power EVeez’s electric mobility platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting scalable solutions, writing clean and maintainable code, reviewing code from team members, and ensuring adherence to best practices in software development. The Lead Software Engineer will collaborate closely with product managers, data teams, and operations stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The role also involves mentoring engineers, improving development processes, and contributing to decisions on technology stack, performance optimization, and system reliability.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
Demonstrated experience in Software Development and Programming in modern languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, or similar).
Hands-on expertise in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and database integration.
Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and patterns for building modular, reusable code.
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
Background in leading engineering teams, conducting code reviews, and guiding technical decisions.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
Interest in electric mobility, sustainability, or logistics technology is a plus.
