Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager – Financial Reporting will be responsible for end‑to‑end financial reporting for TerraPay’s global entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The role will support statutory audits, group consolidation, board reporting, and continuous improvement of reporting processes in a fast‑growing cross‑border payments ecosystem.
This role is critical in ensuring strong financial governance across TerraPay’s operating and holding entities in multiple jurisdictions.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Close Management
Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for TerraPay group entities.
Prepare and review standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with Ind AS / IFRS / UK GAAP / local GAAP, as applicable.
Ensure accurate accounting for:
Cross‑border payment revenues and costs
Forex revaluation and settlement differences
Intercompany transactions and eliminations
Provisions, accruals, and contingencies
ESOPs and share-based payments.
Deliver timely and reliable MIS, management reports, and board decks.
Group Consolidation & Multi‑Entity Reporting
Manage group consolidation, including ownership structures and eliminations.
Oversee intercompany reconciliations across multiple jurisdictions and currencies.
Support onboarding of new entities, partners, or business verticals from a reporting and consolidation standpoint.
Statutory, Regulatory & Compliance Reporting
Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements across geographies (India, UK, Mauritius, Africa, Europe, etc.).
Coordinate preparation and filing of audited financial statements with regulators and local authorities.
Monitor changes in accounting standards, regulatory frameworks, and industry practices impacting TerraPay.
Audit & External Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary SPOC for:
Statutory auditors
Group auditors
Internal auditors
Manage audit planning, timelines, audit schedules, and closure of audit observations.
Ensure minimal audit adjustments and robust documentation for accounting judgments.
Internal Controls, Policies & Process Improvement
Strengthen internal financial controls and ensure consistent application of accounting policies across entities.
Draft, review, and maintain accounting policies, SOPs, and control documentation aligned with group standards.
Drive automation and efficiency in reporting processes, including ERP (NetSuite) optimization and reporting tools.
Support finance transformation initiatives including AI‑based analytics and automated reconciliations.
Cross‑Functional & Leadership Support
Work closely with Tax, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and FP&A teams.
Support responses to board, investor, regulator, and banking partner queries.
Mentor and review work of senior accountants and reporting team members.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Chartered Accountant (CA)– Mandatory
Experience
2–3 years of experience in financial reporting or audit roles in Big 4.
Prior experience in fintech, payments, Big 4, or multinational environments is strongly preferred.
Hands‑on exposure to:
Group consolidation
Multi‑currency and cross‑border transactions
Statutory audits across multiple jurisdictions
Technical & Systems Skills
Strong command of Ind AS / IFRS .
Practical experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
Advanced MS Excel skills; experience with reporting and consolidation tools is a plus.
Strong understanding of regulatory expectations in payments and financial services businesses.
Behavioral & Leadership Competencies

Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
Effective communication with senior management, auditors, and global stakeholders.
