Role Summary
The Officer, Global Payments India is responsible for supporting the execution and oversight of domestic and international payment operations, ensuring payments are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. The role works closely with management and operational teams to support service delivery, risk management, process improvement, and team development. Depending on organizational needs, the Officer may have direct management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership, Team Support & Decision-Making
Support day-to-day operational oversight of domestic and international payment activities.
Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to team members and business partners.
Assist in the resolution of operational issues and support timely decision-making and escalation.
Contribute to operational initiatives, process improvements, and organizational objectives.
May supervise, coach, and develop direct reports where applicable.
Payments Operations, Risk & Compliance
Monitor payment processing activities across multiple payment types, markets, and financial market infrastructures.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies and procedures.
Support risk identification, issue resolution, and control activities.
Partner with Compliance, Risk, Technology, and business stakeholders to address operational and regulatory requirements.
Contribute to service delivery, operational resiliency, and client satisfaction objectives.
Training, Development & Continuous Improvement
Support employee training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Maintain expertise in payment products, operational processes, systems, and regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and operational effectiveness.
Assist in onboarding and developing new team members.
Qualifications
Experience in payments, banking operations, treasury services, or financial services.
Knowledge of domestic and international payment systems and operational controls.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
