DevOps Engineer

Assignment Description
We are looking for offshore/remote consultants with strong hands-on experience in Elasticsearch and Grafana to support, administer, automate, and enhance an infrastructure platform built on Docker, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Python, and Linux.
The consultants should have practical, hands-on experience with Elasticsearch and Grafana and be able to become productive in the role within a short timeframe. The ability to work independently, troubleshoot issues, and contribute from the beginning of the assignment is important.
The objective of the assignment is to contribute to a stable, scalable, and highly available platform with a strong level of automation and well-documented operational procedures.
About the Assignment
The consultants will work with the operation, maintenance, development, and continuous improvement of the platform. Key responsibilities include:
Administration and management of highly available Elasticsearch clusters
Elasticsearch index management and Index Lifecycle Management (ILM) automation
Development and maintenance of Grafana dashboards using Elasticsearch data
Application deployment using Docker Compose
Python development for automation and data synchronization
Data synchronization between Google BigQuery and Elasticsearch
Installation, configuration, patching, and upgrading of platform components
Technical support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements
Documentation of solutions and operational procedures
The assignment will be carried out remotely in collaboration with internal teams, with a focus on platform reliability, automation, and minimizing disruption during changes and upgrades.
Required Skills – Must Have
The consultants must collectively provide strong hands-on expertise in:
Elasticsearch
Grafana
Docker / Docker Compose
Python
Linux
Candidates must have strong practical experience with Elasticsearch and Grafana and should be able to become productive in the role within a short timeframe.
Preferred Skills
Experience with the following is considered an advantage:
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Google BigQuery
Expectations
The consultants is expected to follow established best practices, provide proactive support, and contribute recommendations for improvements. The assignment also includes troubleshooting, documentation, and regular reporting on progress and completed activities.
