Job Description As a Mechanical Design Engineer II in Combustion team within Engine Component Design and Analysis group in Honeywell Aerospace India, you will use your knowledge and expertise in engineering, standards, processes and tools to support our engine, APU and advance technology programs. You will support combustor analysis activities through engineering tools and method development for high fidelity CFD (computational fluid dynamic), thermal, FEA (Finite Element Analysis).

Primary responsibilities of a Mechanical Design Engineer II will include but not limited to:
Combustion and emission design
Combustion and emission analysis
CFD analysis preferably using Synopsys Fluent or Siemens Star-ccm+
Thermal and FEA analysis preferably using Synopsys workbench
Engineering Tool and Method development
Project, process and product compliance
Problem solving and technical resolution
Qualifications
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution or university
2-4 years of relevant work experience
We Value
Master’s or degree in aerospace, mechanical or related engineering disciplines
Strong background in CFD, thermal analysis and FEA
Knowledge of turbomachinery and gas turbine combustor
Knowledge of Turbulence, Combustion, and Emission modeling
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in programming in Fortran/C/C++/Java
Proficiency in Siemens NX, Synopsys Fluent and Siemens Star-ccm+.
Ability to solve complex problems
Growth and innovation mindset
Understanding of AI/ML application to engineering design and analysis
