Sahara Mind is looking for an experienced Product Designer to help research, design, validate, and prepare key Phase 2 experiences for development.
What You’ll Work On
You will collaborate with our product, technology, clinical, operations, and management teams to design user-centered experiences across Sahara Mind’s growing wellbeing platform.
Key responsibilities include:
• Audit existing product journeys and identify UX/UI gaps
• Conduct user and stakeholder research to understand real user needs
• Create user journeys, information architecture, flows, wireframes, and prototypes
• Develop polished, development-ready UI designs in Figma
• Design responsive experiences across web and mobile interfaces
• Conduct usability testing and refine designs based on evidence
• Build and maintain reusable design components/design systems
• Prepare clear design specifications and handoffs for developers
• Review implemented features for design consistency and usability
• Collaborate closely with frontend, backend, DevOps, product, and management teams
• Document research insights, design decisions, and recommendations
Phase 2 Areas May Include
• Client onboarding and service discovery
• Therapist/provider matching and booking journeys
• Wellbeing services such as yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and personal-development programmes
• Corporate Wellness & EAP experiences
• Group programmes and workshops
• Mental wellbeing self-check experiences
• Client and therapist referral journeys
• Progress tracking and engagement experiences
• Client, therapist/provider, and administrative portal improvements
Key Deliverables – 2 Months
Month 1 — Research, Audit & UX Direction
• Current product UX/UI audit
• User/stakeholder research
• Competitor and experience benchmarking
• User personas/problem insights where relevant
• Current and future-state user journeys
• Prioritized UX problems and recommendations
• Initial wireframes and prototypes
Month 2 — Final Design & Development Handoff
• Validated high-fidelity designs
• Interactive Figma prototypes
• Reusable components/design-system updates
• Responsive design specifications
• Developer-ready handoffs
• Implementation/design reviews
• Complete editable design files and documentation
• Final design handover and recommendations for the next product stage
What We’re Looking For
• Minimum 3 years of relevant Product Design / UX/UI experience
• Strong portfolio demonstrating real digital products and end-to-end product thinking
• Excellent command of Figma
• Strong understanding of UX research, user journeys, interaction design, information architecture, and usability
• Ability to turn complex requirements into simple, intuitive experiences
• Experience collaborating directly with software development teams
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to independently own agreed deliverables and meet deadlines
Experience designing healthtech, wellbeing, SaaS, marketplace, fintech, EAP, or service-platform products will be an advantage.
Contract Structure
This is a 2-month, deliverable-based hybrid engagement focused specifically on Sahara Mind Phase 2.
Performance will be evaluated primarily against agreed deliverables, design quality, research evidence, usability, development-readiness, collaboration, and timely completion rather than simply the number of screens produced.
