Role Description The Artificial Intelligence Engineer role at MENA Engineers is a full-time, remote position focused on designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered solutions for global clients. In this role, the engineer will build and optimize machine learning models, including neural network architectures, to solve complex pattern recognition and predictive analytics problems. Daily tasks include experimenting with algorithms, conducting data preprocessing and feature engineering, and implementing NLP techniques for tasks such as text classification, summarization, and conversational interfaces. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional software development teams to integrate AI models into production systems, monitor performance, and iterate on model improvements. Responsibilities also include documenting technical decisions, participating in code reviews, and staying current with advances in AI and machine learning.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
Proficiency in Pattern Recognition and statistical modeling, with experience applying these concepts to real-world datasets.
Hands-on experience with Neural Networks and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras).
Practical expertise in Software Development, including coding in languages such as Python, Java, or C++, and working with version control and CI/CD tools.
Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and libraries (e.g., spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers) for building language-based AI applications.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field.
Experience deploying machine learning models to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and optimizing model performance in production.
Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed environment, with clear communication and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with MLOps practices, experiment tracking, and model monitoring is an advantage.
Prior experience working in or with teams across the MENA region or global remote teams is a plus.
