Role Description The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Worli. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting activities, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, tracking accounts receivable and payable, supporting payroll processing, and assisting with monthly and yearly closing. The role also involves preparing basic financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations, and coordinating with management to provide accurate financial data for decision-making. The Accountant will collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing, cost tracking, and inventory-related accounting specific to stationery and printing operations.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and financial record-keeping.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar), MS Excel, and basic data entry tools.
Ability to manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and invoice processing with high accuracy.
Understanding of basic taxation, compliance requirements, and statutory reporting relevant to small and medium businesses.
Excellent numerical aptitude, analytical thinking, and attention to detail in reviewing financial data.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with operations, sales, and management teams.
Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain structured documentation.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field, and prior experience in a similar accounting role.
Experience in retail, manufacturing, or printing industry accounting will be an added advantage.
