Role Overview
As the Senior Associate, Fund Finance & Operations, you'll oversee the accounting, reporting, and operational activities of assigned investment funds and related entities. You'll serve as the primary liaison with third-party fund administrators, ensuring accurate, timely fund accounting, investor reporting, and operational execution that supports informed decision-making and a positive investor experience.
Manage Fund Administration & Stakeholder Partnerships
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned third-party fund administrators.
Coordinate recurring accounting, reporting, and investor deliverables to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
Partner with internal teams, fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors to resolve accounting, reporting, and operational matters.
Maintain deep knowledge of assigned fund structures, investor relationships, and reporting requirements.
Support cross-functional initiatives and special projects that enhance fund operations and reporting processes.
Review Fund Accounting & Reporting
Review capital call notices, distribution notices, investor allocations, and other administrator-prepared deliverables.
Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules prepared by fund administrators.
Validate capital activity, management fees, partnership allocations, and waterfall calculations.
Research, analyze, and resolve accounting and reporting discrepancies.
Support quarter-end, year-end, audit, and tax reporting processes.
Deliver accurate and timely reporting that provides investors and stakeholders with clear visibility into fund performance.
Qualifications
5+ years of fund accounting experience, including partnership accounting, investor reporting, and fund operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
Strong understanding of partnership accounting, capital transactions, waterfalls, and investor allocations.
Experience working with fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors.
Proven ability to review financial statements, investor reporting, and fund activity.
Familiarity with Dynamics 365 and financial reporting systems.
Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
