Reports to: Process Engineering Manager
Role Overview: The Mould Engineer is responsible for the design development, testing, and maintenance of moulds and tooling used in the manufacturing processes. This role ensures moulds operate efficiently, reliably, and meet product quality standards, while driving improvements in mould performance, cycle time, and cost effectiveness. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
What our new ‘Mould Engineer’ will be doing:
Oversee the design of new moulds (in partnership with supplier) or modify existing moulds based on product requirements and specifications.
Select appropriate materials and manufacturing methods for mould construction.
Prepare technical documentation including mould drawings, specifications, and maintenance reports.
Ensure all moulds meet company and industry quality standards.
Support engineering to develop standard procedures and best practices relating to mould design and tooling introductions.
Introduce new techniques and technologies to improve efficiency and extend mould life
Tooling Introduction Project Management (NPI, Replacement & Optimisation).
