Summary of the Role As a Application Support Engineer, you are accountable for ensuring 24/7 application uptime in the production environment. You manage and resolve ServiceNow tickets related to the application, and proactively safeguard the production environment against potential security threats. Your responsibilities span both the technical and infrastructure aspects of application support, ensuring reliability, performance, and compliance at all times.

Must Have Skills
Who is well experienced in Production Application Support role in maintaining Microservice based Applications in AWS Cloud
Application monitoring using Dynatrace – Dashboards, Logs, Alerts, Log Filtering
Well versed with Kubernetes preferably EKS
Good understanding of Microservices and Java Spring boot – Check code, Identify issues from the logs, Create quick fixes, Testing
Monitor and troubleshoot complex application issues, ensuring high availability of our production environments.
Excellent understanding of AWS Services – EC2, AWS Networking, Security groups, Load balancers, Route53, EKS, S3, EBS, SQS, SNS, API Gateway
Excellent understanding of DevOps – Pipelines, Pipeline stages, Pipeline Troubleshooting, Production moves.
Manage back-ups and recovery via a back-up tool or scripts so that back-ups are taken on a regular schedule and stored in a Cloud Storage service with appropriate tools
High level understanding of authentication and authorization process.
AWS Certificate management
Apply patch updates to the servers.
Excellent communication skills
Excellent Understanding of Terraform scripting, Shell Scripts, Kubernetis manifests
Willingness to learn and extending the help to other teams
Desired to Have Skills
Mule soft or any other ESB basic knowledge
AWS DynamoDB, PostgreSQL
AWS MSK
AWS Cognito Basic knowledge
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) utilizing tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Maintain and enhance container orchestration systems, primarily using Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
Stay up to date with emerging DevOps trends, tools, and technologies for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications Must-Have
2-4 years of experience in Application Development and Support .
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Terraform, Python, Bash or PowerShell.
Experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitLab CI or Travis CI.
Comprehensive knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) and their services.
In-depth understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong expertise in monitoring tools (Dynatrace or Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Should be open to work in shifts.
Nice-to-Have
Experience with Configuration Management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Cloud Experiences – Azure, Google Cloud.
Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Experience in enterprise-level application environments.
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Kubernetes Certification.
