Production Supervisor - Overnights

About the role
As a Production Supervisor at Avery Dennison, you will supervise the activities of associates in the Service Bureau production department. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring equipment functionality and maintenance, managing material inventory to meet production demands, and leading team members to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
This is an on-site position located at our DeSoto, Texas facility. Shift hours are 12:00am (midnight) to 6:00am on Thursdays, then 6pm to 6:00pm to 6:00am, Thursday through Saturday. Extra hours anticipated.
Supervise, recruit, train, develop, and conduct performance reviews for Service Bureau associates and leads in accordance with company policies.
Coordinate all daily production workflow, scheduling, and department responsibilities to ensure customer orders and job tickets are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Oversee all Service Bureau equipment functionality, maintenance, upkeep, and repairs to maintain optimal operational performance.
Maintain ERP system programs for inventory tracking, resolve inventory discrepancies, and coordinate cycle counts and material movements.
Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, maintain clean and safe work areas, and perform pre-shipment quality checks to eliminate errors.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of related experience in the production or printing industry.
Minimum of 5 years of previous supervisory experience leading teams.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Intermediate PC skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook, alongside experience using ERP software systems
