About the Role
Key Responsibilities
Test Automation & Framework Development
Design and develop scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and performance testing
Build automation using Java, Python, or JavaScript
Work with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium
Develop API automation using RestAssured, Postman, or Karate
Implement performance testing using JMeter, Gatling, or Locust
Collaborate early in the SDLC (Shift-Left testing)
Quality Engineering
Ensure strong coverage across functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
Promote TDD/BDD methodologies
Improve test data management and stability
Conduct automation code reviews
CI/CD & DevOps Integration
Integrate automation within Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI
Work with Docker and Kubernetes environments
Develop execution dashboards and reporting
Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in test automation and quality engineering
Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript
Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, or Appium
Experience testing REST APIs and microservices
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies
Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure
Preferred:
Experience with Docker & Kubernetes
Familiarity with mocking frameworks (WireMock, Mountebank)
Knowledge of contract testing (Pact or similar tools)
